Position
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President to lead and expand their Defense and Cyber Consulting portfolio. This is a rare opportunity to make a significant impact within a high-growth, agile firm known for delivering mission-critical solutions to federal clients, even in uncertain budgetary environments. This strategic executive role will be directly responsible for driving new business, managing and scaling large-scale programs, and successfully executing projects and programs within scope and budget. You’ll work alongside elite talent and help shape the future of national defense consulting.
Key Responsibilities

Business Development:

Lead federal business development efforts in the Defense and Cybersecurity sectors

Identify, qualify, and capture new opportunities with DoD and related agencies

Build and maintain strategic relationships with key government stakeholders

Program Oversight:

Oversee delivery of large, complex programs ensuring performance, compliance, and client satisfaction

Guide program directors and teams in achieving excellence across technical and managerial dimensions

Monitor financial performance and resource allocation across portfolios

Strategic Contribution:

Partner with executive leadership to define and refine go-to-market strategies

Stay abreast of emerging threats, policy shifts, and innovation in defense and cybersecurity

Serve as a thought leader, representing the firm in industry forums and client engagements

Qualifications
- 12 to 25 years of relevant experience in federal consulting within Defense and Cybersecurity.
- Proven track record of winning, managing, and scaling $20M+ federal programs.
- Deep understanding of DoD contracting environment, acquisition cycles, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Broad knowledge of processes in the Federal acquisition environment.
- Experience managing large, complex project teams delivering solutions to government clients.
- Ability to identify new opportunities for government solutions; managing full life-cycle business development capture; and managing the profitability of engagement teams.
- Proven track record of successfully winning multiple vehicle types -- IDIQ/GWAC/GSA Schedule/Full and Open competitive contracts and ensuing task order programs.
- Ability to identify and qualify opportunities, develop capture plans and win strategies, and implement effective teaming approaches.
- Sound strategic planning, financial management, budgeting, procurement, compliance, negotiation and risk management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, delivery and leadership skills.
- A self-starter, creative, entrepreneurial, enthusiastic and results-driven.
Location: DC region
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
Compensation: Will reflect the candidate’s experience level and professional history. It is comprised of a generous base salary plus a very attractive incentive plan and benefits package.
