Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Quality Management, with a proven track record in senior leadership roles.
- Over 10 years of expertise in lean manufacturing, including deployment of lean operating systems.
- Demonstrated success in plant transformation and change management initiatives.
- Extensive experience in food manufacturing, with specific expertise in thermal processing techniques for frozen and cooked products.
- Advanced knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies, including Design of Experiments, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Analysis of Variance, process characterization and statistical software applications.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles, such as Poka-Yoke, 5S, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, and Work Element Analysis.
- Strong presentation skills, business acumen, and experience in conflict resolution within a matrix organization.
- Proactive, action-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Sciences, or a related field (required).
- Master’s degree in Quality Systems, Business, or Engineering (preferred).
- Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management (highly desirable).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies to ensure that all manufacturing processes and products meet stringent quality standards.
- Lead a team of managers and professionals to establish and uphold quality protocols within internal operations and with external manufacturing partners.
- Collaborate with production teams to enforce specifications for raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and finished products, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
- Partner with Research and Development to support new product launches, establishing quality checkpoints and testing protocols for innovative products and processes.
- Identify and address procedural or process deficiencies, initiating corrective actions to enhance product reliability and performance.
- Design and deploy quality metrics and systems to minimize supplier issues, reduce internal rework, and elevate customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the Material Review Board to optimize raw material usage, streamline work-in-process, and improve First-Time Quality metrics.
- Champion factory-wide continuous improvement programs, aligning with global quality assurance objectives and strategic organizational goals.
- Monitor and enhance internal auditing processes to strengthen quality assurance within manufacturing operations.
- Manage departmental budgets, resources, and financial planning to support quality initiatives.
- Develop and deliver training programs focused on quality systems, problem-solving, and continuous improvement to elevate operational excellence.
- Perform additional duties as required to support organizational objectives.
