The Opportunity
This role is designed for a seasoned sales leader who thrives in the trade ecosystem and has a passion for design-driven storytelling. The U.S. Sales Director will oversee all aspects of the company’s trade sales strategy, strengthening relationships across major markets, developing new business opportunities, and positioning the brand as a premier partner within the interior design and architecture community.
The ideal candidate brings both strategic acumen and a personal touch — someone who moves fluidly between high-level business planning and hands-on client engagement, with a deep understanding of how relationships drive luxury sales.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Sales & Client Development
- Lead and expand the company’s U.S. trade sales network, including interior designers, architects, and showroom partners.
- Develop and manage key accounts, nurturing long-term relationships and ensuring exceptional client service from inquiry through fulfillment.
- Represent the brand at trade shows, markets, and design events, fostering visibility and credibility within the design community.
- Identify, onboard, and manage new showroom partners and sales territories aligned with the company’s growth strategy.
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to develop tailored presentations, sample programs, and storytelling assets that elevate the client experience.
Business Strategy & Growth
- Create and execute a national sales strategy to achieve annual revenue targets and expand market share.
- Analyze sales data, margin performance, and territory results to inform business decisions and strategic planning.
- Provide actionable insights and client feedback to influence product development, pricing, and assortment planning.
- Partner with leadership to forecast, plan, and optimize trade sales performance across all markets.
Leadership & Operations
- Manage regional sales representatives or showroom liaisons as applicable.
- Maintain accuracy and discipline in CRM tracking, pipeline management, and reporting.
- Work cross-functionally with operations, production, and logistics to ensure white-glove execution for all trade orders.
- Uphold the company’s brand standards and service excellence across every touchpoint of the client journey.
Experience Needed:
- 10+ years of sales experience in luxury furnishings, interiors, or design, with a strong focus on trade sales.
- Proven success managing key design and showroom accounts in multiple markets.
- Deep understanding of the A&D community, procurement processes, and showroom partnerships.
- Confident, polished communicator who can represent a luxury brand with sophistication and authenticity.
- Analytical and strategic, yet creative and relationship-driven.
- Passionate about design, craftsmanship, and the intersection of business and artistry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, or related field preferred.
