Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development for a US division that has been in business for more than 40 years. They are a premier provider of bulk tank transportation services with focus in both hazardous and non-hazardous liquid and plastics. They currently run 70 trucks east of the mid-west as well as offer transload services. They are actively looking for new growth opportunities with an emphasis on sustainable dedicated business relationships.
The US National Sales Manager will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and coordinating sales activities to maximize revenue, market share, and profitability. They will work closely with both the sales and operations team to put a marketing and sales strategy together as well as execute the laid-out plan. They will seek business development opportunities through the expansion of existing customer relationships and terminal operations and prospects for new leads. The Sales Manager will work cross functionally to identify and pursue division specific opportunities as well as track and maintain data related to sales efforts and prospect status, potential value of sales pipeline, and provide regular reports to management.

Background Required:
- Transportation Sales experience
- Strong knowledge of customer pool
- Proven background of closing business
- Successful consultative selling
- Ability to develop and execute business plan strategies
- Demonstrated ability to sell to multiple levels of decision makers (Executive, Middle, & Line Mgmt)
- Knowledgeable of pricing & margin integrity
- Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
- Travel: 25- 50%
- Residence: East of Mississippi River or near a major city
- Liquid tank trucking experience
- Dry bulk transportation experience
- Ability to sell dedicated transportation services
- CRM experience (Hubspot, Monday.com, or related)
- Knowledge of FMCSA & DOT regulations & requirements
- Relationships in trade associations
- Time & territory management reporting CRM (i.e., Salesforce, ACT)
- Education: College Graduate-BA or BS
- Team player
- High character in representing their company to the industry
- Effective communication skills both oral & written
- Problem solver under pressure
