Benelux Tek is currently seeking for candidates to fill the UI Architect position with a company that is a global investment firm founded in New York City. We provide a wide range of Technology and IT related services to this client.

Job Title: UI Architect

Location: New York (Remote to start)

Job Summary: This position’s responsibility is to create an intuitive, easy-to-use software interface. To design programs, write code, and troubleshoot so users are able to receive the final product. The UI Architect will partner with other architects and technology decision makers, they are to work closely with technical leads, application architects, software developers and management in a highly collaborative environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborative with delivery teams during both design and development phases to ensure adherence to UI architectural standards and best practices.
  • Design and develop prototypes for advanced features and designs .
  • Work with potential stakeholders to develop and maintain a set of performance criteria for all development projects. This includes memory leaks and profiling/snapshots.
  • Understand customer performance expectations and to set testing criteria to meet or achieve such standards for future version released while working closely with the product management teams.
  • Guide a team of developers to address the highest of the identified production concerns

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering and or 8 years’ experience.
  • 5+ year’s experience in design, development and use of component based UI Architectures. Additional consideration for experience working in a high-volume e-commerce websites.
  • Strong understanding of approaches and techniques to optimize web performance
  • Expert level understanding of HTML DOM and underlying event model.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of large scale, JavaScript application architectures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
