TxDOT Practice Leader

The company is looking for an entrepreneurial practice leader for a once in a lifetime opportunity to leverage their existing clients and contracts and with the firm’s deep expertise and national presence to shape and grow the Texas regional practice.

In this role, the individual will be responsible for working closely with TxDOT to oversee existing company contracts and form new connections within TxDOT. In addition, the person will be responsible for hiring and mentoring of staff, local operations and expanding the current client base. This role will be integral to a growing practice around these well-established relationships and projects. The resources of the firm provide an unparalleled opportunity to establish new service offerings and markets within Texas.

Collins has a strong backlog of TxDOT projects including several multi-year contracts with districts throughout the state. About the Firm:
In 1979, Collins Engineers opened its doors in Chicago providing engineering services in structural and transportation analysis and design, and underwater engineering. Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering, structural engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• 15+ years of experience
• Licensed Professional Engineer
• Prior experience working closely with DOTs. While TxDOT experience is preferred, candidates with DOT experience from any state will be considered.
• Individual can have technical background in structural bridge design, bridge inspection, transportation, construction, planning or related technical discipline.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to help expand the Texas market.
