Salary: $72,800.00 - $104,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in managing all phases of trust administration, ensuring adherence to legal and procedural standards.
- Prepare key trust administration documents including certifications of trust and trustee notifications.
- Execute real property transfers, manage grant deeds, and handle necessary affidavits and related assessor forms.
- Oversee communications with trustees, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and other involved parties to ensure seamless processes.
- Compile estate valuation reports, detailed asset inventories, and facilitate trust funding procedures.
- Support the trust distribution process by preparing distribution summaries, waivers, and receipts.
- Draft and file probate and other related legal documents as required.
- Maintain and update client records, case notes, and monitor deadlines using legal case management software.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support including scanning, filing, and proper organization of all trust administration records.
- Participate actively in team meetings and commit to ongoing legal education to enhance professional knowledge.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Must possess a Paralegal Certificate.
- A minimum of three years of experience in trust administration or a closely related field.
- In-depth knowledge of estate planning, trust administration laws, and procedures.
- Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- High level of organizational skills and outstanding attention to detail.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
- Ability to manage confidential information with utmost discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- California Notary Public certification is highly desirable or candidate should be willing to obtain certification.
- Advanced experience in legal documentation and compliance for trust administration.
- Prior exposure to estate valuation and tax planning procedures.
