Traveling Project Superintendent
Job Description
Must be willing to temporarily relocate to Denver area.
This client is a General Contractor who offers construction solutions for food and beverage manufacturing and processing facilities. Projects range from simple welfare space remodels or line changes to full greenfield plants or emergency response projects. Most projects are $1 million to $20 million but have been upwards of $300 million. After project completion in Denver, must be willing to travel nationwide to the next project.

- Location: Denver metro
- Wastewater facility for a manufacturing company
ABOUT THE POSITION:
Safety
- Welcome new hires and communicate safety performance expectations.
- Recognize and reward safe behavior among individuals and groups.
- Participate in weekly safety meetings to discuss best practices.
- Encourage reporting of incidents and near-misses.
- Review project safety trends and implement effective solutions.
Hiring and Training
- Implement and ensure adherence to a training plan based on Accident-free Process guidelines.
- Document all on-site training and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare and implement a successful project hiring plan.
Client Management and Meetings
- Schedule and conduct weekly site client meetings.
- Lead and participate in pre-job planning and end-of-project critiques.
Subcontract Management
- Perform management and scheduling of subcontractor activities, including leading weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
- Coordinate start-up activities as required.
Documentation
- Manage and review site documentation, including time and production records, drawings, and requisitions.
- Estimate required materials, prepare required PO requisition forms, inspect materials, and approve field requisitions for payment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Lead Foreman or Superintendent
- Must have experience with projects in the industrial or food and beverage industry
- Willingness to travel to job sites and stay for extended periods of time, all within the continental US
- Manage a large team of internal onsite employees and subcontractors
