The hospital has 130 beds, all in private rooms. It is the regional trauma center for its region and features many centers of excellence, including neuroscience, orthopedics, rehabilitation, birthing center, imaging, stroke and cancer care. They are fully accredited by The Joint Commission.

Job Description :

The X-Ray Tech performs procedures in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and preferably one or more of the following modalities: General Radiology, Angio/Cath Lab and Computed Tomography. Nightshift, Must have X-Ray experience in an acute care setting. This position will do XRAYS, CT scans, and rotating weekends

EDUCATION:

  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
  • Graduate of a JCERT accredited program Broad-based knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology
  • Associate's: Health Science or equivalent education/experience
  • Other: Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
  • Rad tech is 5-8 hour shifts, shift varied nights and must do rotating weekends

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

  • ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists
  • OR ARMRIT-Certified MRI Technologist
  • OR CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider within 30 Days of hire
  • CA Fluoroscopy licenses

Special Requirements:

  • Must be capable of and willing to perform routine x-rays, including portables in addition to CT scans.
  • Competency on a GE VCT 64-slice CT scanner required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

  • Two years as a Radiologic Technologist performing general diagnostic imaging and one or more of the following modalities: Angio/Cath Lab, Computed Tomography, or Magnetic Resonant Imaging.
  • Experience in an acute care hospital.
