We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team for a 13-week contract with a large and reputable hospital system in California. The RN will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients across multiple departments in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. With positions available in both the San Francisco and Los Angeles metropolitan areas, as well as a variety of shifts and clinical settings, this is an excellent opportunity for experienced nurses looking to make an immediate impact and gain exposure to diverse patient care areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for adverse reactions and side effects.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other nursing staff, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Monitor patient conditions and make adjustments to care plans as needed.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive healthcare.
- Respond to emergency situations promptly and appropriately.
- Assist in the orientation and mentoring of new staff, if applicable.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Available Locations, Departments & Shifts:
Positions are available in both the San Francisco and Los Angeles metropolitan areas, with opportunities to work in the following departments:
- Med-Surg
- ICU
- ER
- Telemetry
- Postpartum
- Pediatrics
- Surgery/Recovery
- [Other departments]
Shifts available include:
- Day Shift
- Night Shift
- 12-hour shifts
- [Other shift options]
Qualifications:
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience; experience in [specific department(s), e.g., Med-Surg, ICU, ER, etc.] preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, etc.) may be required depending on the department.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced and sometimes high-stress environment.
- Experience with [hospital's Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, if applicable] is a plus.
