The Interventional Radiology Tech offers advanced technology and equipment to diagnose heart disease, treat people with irregular heartbeats and open blocked vessels or arteries. Our nationally-recognized physicians and surgeons are committed to providing excellent personalized care in contemporary, welcoming facilities.

Competently performs routine and specialized interventional radiology procedures to produce quality images to physicians and other health care providers for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and prevention of injury or disease. Works independently, exercising sound judgment, and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures to deliver accurate results in a timely manner. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication.

EDUCATION:

  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

  • ALL CERTS MUST BE AHA-ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • RCIS or RCES or ARRT or CRT
  • CA Rad Tech Licensure
  • Experience with operating C-arm

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

  • 1 years required basic clinical and practical experience as typically acquired in a similar environment.
