As a Project Manager you’ll play a key role in delivering high-impact transportation planning solutions. Ideal candidates will be deeply curious problem solvers, capable of both technical depth and planning-level thinking. You will work across stakeholder engagement, corridor studies, economic analysis, and forecasting, often collaborating with TxDOT or large consultant partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead or support planning projects (corridor studies, long-range plans, etc.)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and clients
  • Analyze transportation data and trends; perform BCA and feasibility analysis
  • Draft reports, technical memoranda, presentations, and visualization tools
  • Integrate planning models and traffic forecasting where needed
  • Stay current on tech and regulations; participate in continuing education, obtain additional marketable credentials or leadership roles in relevant professional and trade organizations (APA, ITE)

Qualifications:

  • Required: Bachelor’s in Engineering, Urban/Transportation Planning or similar
  • Required: PE license (or EIT with PE eligibility and intent to sit)
  • Desired: AICP, PTOE, PMP, RSP, or equivalent marketable certifications
  • Software: Experience with tools such as TransCAD, SYNCHRO, VISSIM, HCS, GIS. (experience with any transportation modeling or microsimulation, traffic operations modeling tool is permissible)
  • Bonus: Python, R, dashboarding or automation capability
  • Must demonstrate analytical thinking and comfort with both detail and big picture

Preferred Experience:

  • 5+ years experience (compensation tiered to relevant desired experience)
  • Familiarity working with TxDOT (strongly preferred)
  • Stakeholder engagement (nice-to-have)
  • Experience managing small-to-medium fee-based projects ($50K–$250K)
