Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations of one of the industry’s most trusted providers of hazardous bulk transportation. With over 50 years of industry experience focusing on specialty chemical & natural gas liquids with 500 power units, they possess delivery abilities across the entire lower 48 of the US. Their vision is to be most trusted team of experts in the Specialized Bulk Tank Transport industry, focused heavily on safe and dependable delivery.
The Transload Manager will directly supervise employees at all transload facility located in the organization. Performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training/developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Oversee operations and administrative functions at a transload facility. They currently have 5 sites that operate seasonally and handle mostly Butane. The manager will be tasked with growth into new commodities that can provide sustainable growth throughout the year and put together an attractive value add service offering to their existing and new customers. They will partner with the companies’ internal operations and Over-the-road division to carry out final delivery all transloaded products.

Background Required:
  • Transload management (2-5 years)
  • High volume, KPI driven transload operations
  • Transload inventory management
  • P&L responsibility
  • Account & customer management
  • Financial acumen (Invoicing, bills of lading, & switch lists)
  • Safety acumen (incident investigation and reporting)
  • Knowledge of FRA regulations
  • Facilitates and maintains departmental training records.
  • Monitors overall team performance ensuring customer requirements
  • Staff recruiting, hiring, & training
  • Residence: Remote, South & Southeast US
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Liquid bulk transload operations
  • Transload sales experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Education: Associates/Bachelors degree or equivalent of experience
