Compensation

  • Hourly Pay $30.57 per hour.
  • Overtime paid after 40 hours per week.
  • Typical work week is 40-50 hours per week.

Work Schedule

  • 5-day work week.
  • Tuesday-Saturday (off Sunday & Monday) or Thursday-Monday (0ff Tuesday & Wednesday).
  • Work 11:00pm-7:30am or until work is completed, typically 8-12 hours per day.
  • Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative and as-needed maintenance of semi trailers.
  • Interpret and follow work orders and technical manuals.
  • Maintain schedules and document completed preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance; ensure work meets manufacturer's specifications according to FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations).
  • Maintaining parts and yard organization (with direction from operations management) to ensure a clean and safe working environment..

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a trailer mechanic performing Preventive Maintenance Inspections and Repairs to dry storage trailers of multiple manufacturers in the Company Fleet.
  • Must have air-brakes certification.
  • Familiar with FHWA (Federal Highway Administration), and FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations), BIT (Basic Inspection of Terminals) inspections.
  • High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Candidate must provide his/her own tools.
  • Potential of some commute and work in mobile shop locations (no road side) to satellite locations in company vehicle.
  • Valid driver's license may be required with no suspensions and/or revocations in connection with a moving violation within the past three (3) years. No CDL required.
