Title Examiner
Responsibilities:
- Perform title Examination and analysis of commercial and residential properties for national search business
- Examine deeds, mortgages, liens, judgements, leases, plat books, maps, contracts, and agreements to determine property ownership and identify encumbrances including liens, easements, and restrictions
- Perform data entry to prepare and deliver title reports
- Utilize online resources, courthouse computer systems, and courthouse records as additional support to provide accurate and timely reports
- Communicate with abstractors and internal support staff to resolve identified deficiencies and missing documents in title search results
- Provide customer service to external clients
Job Requirements:
- 2-5 years of Title Examinations experience
- Ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented, and highly productive manner
- Ability to operate in an environment with tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) with external clients and internal support staff
- Ability to work independently in a remote work environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe, and OCR Programs
- Experience in Title Commitment and Title Policy preparation is a plus
Additional Requirements:
- Have high-speed internet to use out secure VPN environment
- Have a dedicated space to work from home without background noise
- Be available to work full-time during business hours and attend full-time training
- Work overtime as needed by the business unit
