Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director, Operations.

The Terminal Supervisor manages all aspects of day-to-day operations of 26 trucks-drivers (5 unseated trucks), 50 trailers with live haul, feed haul, rendering, and refrigerated operations. Directs $ 3.5 million dollars in P&L and budget reporting financial results. Accountable for driving profitability leading 1 direct report, (Driver Managers). Manages and maintains key performance indicators for all terminals and its employees. Leads scheduling manager to formulate agreements process with third party carriers hauling brokerage loads. Coordinates all load information with customers and manage loads to ensure equipment and drivers are fully utilized. Ensures adherence to companies safety policy & procedures. Manages coordination with maintenance to ensure completion of preventative maintenance and repairs to trucks within the fleet. Maintains legal weight standards in company equipment. Manages the professional relationship between company and customer. Assists as needed with respect to HR-led initiatives, including but not limited to, payroll, issuance of disciplinary action, and general communication between driver and management. Develops and implements new business, and present opportunities for continued growth. Engages in continuous improvement of business processes in partnership with team members & management.

Background Required:
  • Terminal supervisory (2 years)
  • Familiarity with the livestock business
  • P&L & budgeting processes
  • Personnel management (1 associates)
  • KPI’s & metrics reporting to measure success
  • Fleet Management, Customer Service, Load planning and extended coverage
  • Safety: FMCSA, HOS, CSA, DOT, OSHA, Driver Cameras
  • Computer Literate: Microsoft suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Residence: Tolleson, AZ (relocation assistance)

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (i.e., Supply Chain, Logistics or Transportation)
