Position Responsibilities:
Reports to the Regional Vice President for a leading provider of liquid bulk transportation services, hauling hazardous chemicals throughout the U.S. for the past 20 years. With 100 facilities and over 2,000 power units offering OTR, transload, depo services, ISO tank, and tank wash services their goal is efficiently transport their customers’ chemicals safety, securely, and on-time. Their goal is to find a strong leader to manage their terminal in Southern California location in order to grow the terminal and optimize their current business and transportation process.
The Terminal Manager is responsible for effectively leading the terminal operations to include planning, execution, dispatch, and delivery of all products to customers. The terminal currently has 11 drivers and 1 direct report with an additional 2 drivers at a satellite location. This leader will be responsible for all location business matters and network collaboration. They will focus on safety, truck utilization and growing the fleet. The manager will also oversee driver hiring, retention, and development with a specific focus in safety both in the terminal and on the road. The challenge will be to drive customer satisfaction and growth, providing outstanding service, leveraging existing customers and adding new customers by creating and maintaining a great culture of success and development. A key focus will be to meet and exceed the terminals KPI’s for operations, retention, safety & compliance, customer service, financials, and annual goals/objectives.

Background Required:
  • Liquid Bulk tank transportation management experience (3-5 yrs.)
  • Driver management, recruitment, & retention
  • History of growing & scaling terminals
  • Managing DOT & FMCSA regulations and safety standards
  • KPI’s, financial statements, metrics, and reporting trends
  • Driver & asset utilization
  • Forecast, monitor, and execute daily performance plans
  • Knowledge of Transportation technology (TMW, PeopleNet)
  • Fleet Management and Load Planning
