Position Responsibilities:
Reports to the Regional Manager for a leading provider of specialized transportation services throughout the U.S. & Canada hauling chemicals & hazardous waste.
The Terminal Manager is responsible for effectively leading the terminal operations to include: planning, execution, dispatch, and delivery of all products to customers. The terminal will have over 45 drivers, and 3 direct reports (2 Fleet Leaders & 1 Operations Manager). This leader will be responsible for all location business matters and network collaboration. They will focus on revenue per truck, total miles, and reducing empty miles. The manager will also oversee driver recruitment, retention, and development with a specific focus in safety both in the terminal and on the road. The challenge will be to drive customer satisfaction and growth, providing outstanding service, leveraging existing customers and adding new customers by creating and maintaining a great culture of success and development. A key focus will be to meet and exceed the terminals KPI’s for operations, retention, safety & compliance, customer service, financials, and annual goals/objectives.

Background Required:
  • Chemical/Hazardous waste transportation management (5 yrs.)
  • Fleet management (40+ drivers & 2 yrs.)
  • History of growing & scaling terminals
  • P&L & budgeting
  • KPI’s, financial statements, metrics, and reporting trends
  • Driver & asset utilization (revenue per truck & load counts)
  • Forecast, monitor, and execute daily performance plans
  • Company & owner-operator driver management, recruitment, & retention
  • Transportation technology (i.e. TMW, McLeod, Qualcomm)
  • DOT & FMCSA regulation and safety standards
  • Fleet Management and Load Planning
  • Location: McAlester, OK (relocation assistance provided)
Background Preferred (but not required):

  • Customer/client management
  • Fluent in Mcleod Software
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (i.e. Business, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain)
