Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director, Operations of a privately owned asset based regional transportation carrier.

The Terminal Manager responsible for the launch, development, operations, and growth of a new terminal by dispatching drivers to existing lanes while establishing a growing customer base. Hires, develops, retains, and dispatches drivers. Oversees the planning freight and directs route planning to prevent deadhead and maximize fuel and toll use across all divisions. Will create profitable growth revenue with current accounts, while soliciting new sources of revenue and profit. Hires, coaches, mentors, and develops team. Will work in coordination with other company resources to develop the strategic and tactical direction for the business unit and establish management processes. Directs and oversees consistent application of all DOT regulations and FMCSA programs. Ensures procedures, processes, and systems are in place to securely maintain accuracy of all financials, safety, and operations information. Assures customer service levels are achieved, holding periodic performance meetings with customers. Is constantly attentive to growth opportunities. Challenge is to build a world-class team, develop high-level service offerings, motivate, and lead a staff, while increasing revenues and improving profitability.

Background Required:
  • Terminal management (5 years)
  • Driver recruitment, retention, dispatch
  • Fleet Management, Customer Service, Load planning and extended coverage
  • KPI’s & metrics reporting to measure success
  • Safety: CSA, DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, Driver Cameras
  • Computer Literate: Microsoft suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Residence: Columbus, OH

  • Grew carrier into a larger entity
  • Sales & client Management
  • P&L responsibility
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (i.e. Supply Chain, Logistics or Transportation)
