Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the VP, Operations for a drayage & trucking services provider.
The Terminal Manager - Newark is accountable for leading the daily operations through the development & implementation of the operations strategy of a 50 truck operation located at the Newark New Jersey Port. Communicates the companies’ vision & executes operational objectives and leads cost-effective operations, profitability, driver & equipment productivity, driver retention, quality and service. Challenge is to assist with the daily flow of freight, asset utilization, increase revenues & improve profitability

- Terminal operational leadership (5 years)
- P&L & cost control
- Performance metrics & KPI’s
- People processes (development, training, retention)
- Load planning
- Equipment (tractors, trailers)
- Transportation regulations (CFR49, DOT, Hazmat, FMCSA, ELD)
- Residence: Northern New Jersey
- Drayage (at least 1 year)
- Business development, expand & grow market
- Driver recruiting & retention
- On-board communication & dispatch systems (i.e. OmniTracs, Trinium)
- Potential to expand into Northeast and Southeast markets.
- Education: College Graduate (BA or BS)
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentations)
