Technical Sales Rep- Relays and Recorders

Position Overview:

MeshGrid HR Client, an innovative relay and fault recorder manufacturer is expanding its sales team to concentrate on specific market segments for growth. If you are a proactive self-starter, thrive in dynamic team environments, excel in customer interaction, and possess extensive technical expertise in Power Systems, particularly in Power System Protection Relays and Recording products, then this opportunity may be perfect for you. This role offers remote work flexibility, depending on your location, with travel of up to 50% required.

Territory:
Currently we have two open positions, each position covers one of the following territories:

1. US East: CT, DC, DE, FL, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, VA, VT, WI, WV
2. US South: AL, AR, AZ, GA, IA, KS, LA, MO, MS, NE, NM, OK, TN, TX


Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the Regional Sales Manager, the selected candidate will:

  • Identify target markets and customers to promote Company protection and fault recording products and solutions.
  • Develop and expand the customer base within assigned market segments to meet sales targets.
  • Conduct competitive analyses and identify new business opportunities within the market segment.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans tailored to the market segment.
  • Collaborate with channel partners to execute sales strategies effectively.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Company products and solutions in electric power system protection and automation.
  • Stay informed about competitor products to manage customer expectations effectively.
  • Assist customers and generate interest in Company products through various channels such as visits, demonstrations, training sessions, and remote support.
  • Provide technical support and resolve customer concerns in collaboration with the Technical Services Group, offering application notes, white papers, and Webex demonstrations.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of successful proposals for Company products, services, and systems.
  • Participate in trade shows and promotional events.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks within agreed schedules and budgets, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Assume Project Management responsibilities for assigned projects.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry related work experiences.
  • Minimum 3-5 years working knowledge of electric power systems and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of the electrical power industry, customer base and channel in assigned region
  • Excellent technical training, speaking, and writing skills.
  • Attention to detail, self-starter, proactive, ability to learn, good interpersonal skills and results oriented
  • Strong communicator: must be able to communicate effectively at all business levels, including customer management
  • Very strong computer and business software skills.
  • Multi-tasking and Time management are very essential.
