TITLE OF POSITION: Technical Sales Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for maintaining and developing new sales accounts throughout the assigned territory within the Biofuels Industry.
  • Responsible for communicating to sales management and/or corporate sales & marketing all field intelligence, competitive trends and up to date information regarding field sales projects and opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Regional Technical Manager and Technical Representatives to coordinate CTE Global’s technical support at customers.
  • A working knowledge of CTE Global “core” product lines including Enzymes and Yeast.
  • Able to work within all levels of a customer’s organization including but not limited to Executives, Purchasing Managers, Plant/Operations Managers, Plant Operators, Lab Managers.

GENERAL DUTIES/TASKS:

  1. Responsible for maintaining all customers within the assigned region.
  2. Responsible for developing new business within the assigned region to achieve profitable growth.
  3. Responsible for helping to establish and meet or exceed sales budget while operating within established expense budget.
  4. Maintain a professional working knowledge of Company product line, including Enzymes and Yeast
  5. Maintain a professional working knowledge of product line applications in the Biofuels
  6. Follow up on all assigned developmental projects as assigned by VP of Sales & Marketing
  7. Complete and submit all assigned internal documentation, including customer visit reports , competitive activity reports and others as assigned by management.
  8. Maintain a standard of knowledge and company procedures that enhance CTE Global’s market presence.

QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor’s degree in business or a technical discipline is required or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical sales or technical management. Knowledge of products, markets and applications is required. Must demonstrate ability to communicate sound ideas and solutions intelligently. Changes in technology, applications and sales trends require the individual to strive to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current technology and strong business acumen. Position requires excellent selling, teamwork, persuasive, organizational and communication skills. Individual must be a self-starter with a positive attitude.
