CORE RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Follow PMO project process and ensure each assigned step is followed to provide the ultimate customer experience.
  • Overall authority on assigned project installation preparedness, execution and close out
  • Ensure all projects are on time, on budget and by specifications
  • Ensure team is entering time daily with detailed notes and approve weekly timesheets and expense reports for accuracy.
  • Ensure assigned personnel have the needed training and certifications to complete assigned projects
  • Establish and monitor professional growth for team’s chosen career paths and provide scheduled opportunities to discuss, i.e. Annual Performance Reviews
  • Ensure compliance of CEC Suite requirements, quality and standards in reference to scheduled projects
  • Assign and oversee the daily tasks of Operations personnel while ensuring all subordinates are actively working toward established milestones
  • Hold regular team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects and personnel
  • Determine and define clear roles and responsibilities for project personnel daily
  • Ensure assigned personnel are following all CEC policies and procedures, providing positive reinforcement and disciplinary action as required
  • Research and evaluate tool and technology options and weigh the cost/benefit analysis when making purchases on behalf of the company
  • Recruit and train exceptional employees to fulfill posted positions within assigned team
  • Establish communications strategy with assigned customers and CEC PMO during project life cycle
  • Act as primary contact for customer escalations and respond promptly with a resolution or escalate to CEC management
  • Measure individual assigned projects performance in real time, perform risk management and establish corrective action as needed
  • Perform Post Project Reports to communicate project successes and areas for improvement
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Directly supervises, Operations field staff in the assigned CEC offices. Technical Project Manager II will provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of field staff to achieve operational goals. Daily supervision of non-assigned personnel on projects will be as needed.


  • 6+ years of technology experience within CEC or similar company.
  • 4+ years of leadership experience within CEC or similar company
  • 2 safety related certifications
  • 2 proficiency in a CEC Technology – proficiency is determined by CEC Operations Managers.
  • 2 Industry certifications (i.e. NICET, Bicsi, CTS, etc.)
  • 4 CEC Business training session
  • 3 CEC Leadership training session
  • Industry certifications and trainings can/will be obtained during the first year of employment to meet the minimum qualifications when applicable.


  • Must have strong communication skills and general construction or mechanical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of communications systems, including audio, video, security, fire alarm, wireless, and data networks.
  • PC proficiency (Windows environment) and working knowledge of Excel is preferred.


  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and lead well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.
