We connect high-performing professionals with organizations that value people, performance, and growth—helping leaders find roles where they can make an impact and build meaningful careers.

About the Opportunity

We’re partnered with a high-volume automotive manufacturing plant producing complex injection-molded interior components for major vehicle programs. This is a large, multi-shift operation with extensive press capacity and an established customer base across Tier 1 and Tier 2 channels.

The Technical Manager role is open due to an immediate leadership need and offers broad ownership across engineering, processing, tooling, and maintenance. It’s a strong fit for a hands-on technical leader who enjoys driving process improvement, developing teams, and stabilizing performance in a fast-paced production environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead technical functions across process engineering, manufacturing engineering, tooling, and maintenance.

  • Drive continuous improvement in cycle time, scrap, quality, and material usage.

  • Support new product launches and ensure tooling and processes are production ready.

  • Partner with production and quality to resolve technical and process issues.

  • Guide capital and process improvement planning.

  • Develop and mentor technical staff through coaching and accountability.

  • Reinforce daily safety and performance standards on the floor.

Who You Are

  • A hands-on technical leader with strong injection molding experience.

  • Solutions-driven with solid mechanical and process problem-solving skills.

  • Comfortable leading multiple technical teams in a production setting.

  • Direct, practical communicator who builds trust and follow-through.

  • Motivated by operational improvement and team development.

Preferred Experience & Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar (or equivalent experience).

  • 7–10+ years leading engineering and maintenance in manufacturing.

  • 5+ years in automotive manufacturing.

  • 3–5+ years in injection molding and scientific molding concepts.

  • Experience leading manufacturing engineering teams.

  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred.

  • Background with vacuum forming and foam-in-place processes is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
