Technical Civil Design Engineer (Airports)

C&S is looking for a design engineer to fill a key role in their growing Florida airport design team. In this role, the engineer will provide technical oversight and support to junior engineers, write technical specifications, assist with design reports and serve as the technical lead on various Florida airport design projects.
The airport design team has a strong backlog of general aviation and HUB airport projects in Florida. The team’s clients include Tampa International Airport, Orlando International Airport, Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport, New Smyrna Beach Municipal Airport, Orlando Sanford International Airport and a wide range of private clients. The aviation team is one of the largest and strongest in the country and is known for setting industry standards. The comprehensive set of services the company can offer to the aviation sector combined with their collaborative approach to management provides this engineer with the resources and support needed to deal with any situation that arises on a project. Past projects with aviation components have involved foundations for utility corridors and runway pavements, sustainability plans, updating grading and drainage, transportation planning and design, land use and capital improvement plans, facilities civil engineering and planning, design for centralized receiving and distribution centers, all aspects of airfield infrastructure, as well as optimization of long-term operating and maintenance costs.
Minimal travel will be required as many of the projects for this position will be within Florida. In this role, the individual has the potential to be invited into future ownership within the company.

Requirements:
• 7+ years of experience
• BS in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Strong civil design background is required. Prior experience working on airport design projects experience is preferred, but individuals from transportation design, site civil design, or related civil design fields will also be considered as long as the individual possess the desire to work on airport projects.
