Technical Accounting Manager

Carolina PRG is excited to partner with a growing publicly traded, growth-oriented company is seeking a highly skilled Technical Accounting Manager to lead complex accounting initiatives and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP across the organization. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with public accounting experience and a strong technical foundation who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the evaluation and implementation of new accounting standards
• Serve as the internal subject matter expert on technical accounting issues, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, business combinations, and equity transactions
• Draft and maintain accounting memos and position papers for audit and internal review
• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, Treasury, and Operations to assess accounting implications of business initiatives
• Assist with SEC reporting
• Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure timely resolution of audit queries
• Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to a culture of technical excellence

Qualifications

• CPA required
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, public accounting preferred (Big 4 or National CPA Firm)
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with technical accounting research
• Strong writing skills for technical memos and policy documentation
• Experience in a high-growth fast-paced environment a plus
• Proven track record of managing deadlines and cross-functional projects
