Our client based in Montague Gardens imports leading edge IT components, systems accessories and much more. They distribute their product range through a national network of authorised dealers, Retailers, E-tailers, System Integrators and Solution providers. This is easily achieved with our client having 7 stocked National Branches across South Africa for customer convenience.

Job Purpose:

Internal sales position – minimal travel required. Grow Customer Base and increase sales with existing customers. Important - this is not a order taking role.

Attributes
IT Knowledge and related space is required in order to achieve the desired results.

Duties and Responsibilities as follows:
• Primary Focus: Obtaining new business and growing sales with excisting customer base.
• Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets
• Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation
• Generate leads and cold call prospective customers
• Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone
• Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients
• Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these needs
• Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business
• Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning to implement operational changes
• Draw up client contracts or agreements
• Liaise with the warehousing and logistics departments as appropriate
• Keep abreast of trends and changes in the IT environment
• Create a sales pipeline
• Increase sales of the business
• Carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to management
• Develop the business sales and marketing strategy
• We usually work 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, though you may on occasion have to work longer to meet a project deadline or liaise with a client. We are in Information Technology, so availability is important

Desired Experience & Notification
1 to 2 years experience in IT technical sales, Experience in any of these will be advantageous: Hardware, Software, fibre to the home and fibre to the business
• Must have experience in selling IT Hardware
• Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them.
• Matric

Package & Remuneration
• Starting salary includes a basic and a commission – earning potential is above R20,000.00pm
• 3-month probation period applies
• This is an internal sales position

Working hours:
Mon-Friday 8am to 5pm (additional hours may be required operationally)
