Position Overview:
The Tax Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to our high-net-worth clients, providing comprehensive tax planning, compliance, and consulting services. This individual will play a critical role in managing client relationships, reviewing complex tax returns, identifying planning opportunities, and ensuring accuracy and compliance. The role is ideal for someone who is entrepreneurial, client-focused, and eager to grow into a future Partner of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, providing proactive tax planning and advisory services.
- Prepare and review individual, fiduciary, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
- Develop and implement tax strategies that align with client financial goals.
- Research complex tax issues and communicate findings in a clear, actionable way.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsiveness, expertise, and trust.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff members.
- Assist with business development initiatives and contribute to the growth of the firm.
- Support the firm’s leadership in operational and strategic initiatives, preparing for future partnership opportunities.
Qualifications:
- CPA license required.
- 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting
- Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
- Leadership experience, including staff supervision and mentoring, preferred.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a long-term interest in becoming a Partner.
