Tax Manager - CPA Firm

A well-established CPA firm located in North Phoenix is seeking a dynamic Tax Manager to join their team. Salary: Dependent on Experience per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to a diverse client base.
  • Develop and nurture new client relationships to expand the firm's market footprint.
  • Manage client expectations and maintain continuous communication regarding project updates and changes.
  • Efficiently manage tax engagements to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on corporate, partnership, individual, and trust and estate tax services.
  • Participate in networking and business development activities to enhance client engagement and firm growth.
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor Tax Seniors and staff to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Ensure all tax filings are executed proficiently, adhering to the highest standards of compliance.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; Master's in Taxation preferred.
  • Active CPA license.
  • At least 8 years of relevant tax experience in a public accounting setting.
  • Proficiency in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation.
  • Strong expertise in interacting with the IRS and e-filing various tax forms such as forms 1065, 1120, 1120S, and 1040s.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and QuickBooks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience supervising and training tax team members.
  • Experience with UltraTax software is highly desirable though not required.
  • Demonstrable abilities in business development and client relationship management.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and client advisory.
