About the Opportunity
Precision Recruiting Solutions Group® (PRSG®) is recruiting a Tax Associate for a respected public accounting client located south of Pittsburgh. This is a great opportunity for an early-career professional who wants to build a strong foundation in tax compliance, research, and client advisory work within a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
- Conduct tax research and summarize findings to support compliance and planning strategies.
- Analyze financial data to ensure accurate tax reporting in line with current tax laws and regulations.
- Assist senior staff with tax projections, extensions, and estimated payments.
- Seasonal responsibility for financial statement compilations and reviews, and support of audits as needed.
- Communicate with clients to gather financial information, resolve discrepancies, and provide timely updates.
- Support responses to IRS and state tax notices and other agency inquiries.
- Utilize tax preparation software (Thomson Reuters, UltraTax, or similar) and QuickBooks Online to complete assignments.
- Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to maintain current tax knowledge.
- Collaborate with team members on cross-functional projects, including audit or accounting support as needed.
Qualifications
- 2–7 years of experience in public accounting, with tax experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA or EA in progress strongly preferred.
- Experience using UltraTax is ideal, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and Thomson Reuters tax software (or similar platforms) is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and client service skills.
