MAS - Systems Technician
PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION:
Manufactured Automated Systems technicians are responsible to accurately and safely layout, build and test state-of-the art Automated Systems for general industry, automotive tier suppliers, and the automotive companies. Individuals must have mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic experience as well as applicable schooling or certifications. Systems Technicians must understand and accurately follow engineering designs and schematics to lay out the System on the manufacturing floor, and assemble all cell components including - Robots, Risers, Conveyors, Perimeter Guarding, etc. Systems Technicians must also safely and correctly complete the electrical wiring associated with the Systems equipment including cable trays, cables, junction boxes, safety devices and the wiring of panels.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Manufacturing Productivity – Understand and drive to meet the project schedule. Working cohesively with other Technicians, Manufacturing Engineers, and Supervision to accomplish the deadline without compromising on time delivery to the customer.
• Manpower - Provide input to manufacturing supervision so correct labor skill sets are assigned to support the specific project tasks being completed. Working also with supervision to plan daily and weekend activities as required to meet the customer delivery dates.
• Process Management – Work with Manufacturing Engineering to audit and measure the integration status as defined in the Manufacturing Process Plan.
• Quality Inspection - Update Manufacturing Process Plan and punch list items daily to ensure documentation is complete and accurate. Ensure work meets proper workmanship standards per engineering drawing and guidelines.
• Tooling – Responsible for your own tools and roll around locking toolbox to secure them when not in use. (Tools requiring calibration will be provided by company)
• Dress code – Responsible for always following dress code and safety shoe policy.
• Attendance - Reliable, consistent attendance is a requirement.
Solid communication skills (oral and written) - Ability to provide clear verbal and written direction to others.
• Knowledgeable on ISO 9001 requirements
• Self-driven and motivated maintaining a disciplined approach to responsibilities and an elevated level of personal initiative while working both individually and with a team.
• MIOSHA regulations (Lockout, Hazardous Material).
• Basic Computer knowledge
• Basic Math Skills
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and components
Planning/Organization skills – Ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining a neat and organized “customer ready” build area.
• Systems automation experience.
3. PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY
• Position involves a significant amount of walking on concrete manufacturing floors or customer sites.
• Ability to work from ladders or other elevated equipment such as scissor lifts.
• Operation of Equipment (Scissor lift, Crane, Hi-Lo pallet walker etc.)
• Lifting of up to 50 pounds of material
• Proper use of Hand tools for Electrical, Mechanical and pneumatic purposes
