What you will be doing as the Systems Architect:

  • Design and oversee the overall structure of IT systems, aligning with business objectives, regulatory compliance (e.g., NAIC standards), and technical best practices in financial services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including executive leadership and development teams, to define system requirements, evaluate emerging technologies), and create blueprints for efficient, secure architectures.
  • Guide development teams through implementation, troubleshoot architectural issues, and ensure seamless integration of core applications.
  • Establish roadmaps for digital transformation, providing financial guidance on solutions and evaluating risks in annuity products.
  • Maintain oversight of enterprise standards, ensuring scalability, data security, and methodology adherence in the financial services industry.
  • Participate in planning, compile enhancement plans for existing systems, and drive innovation.

What you will need as the Systems Architect:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT, or related field; 7+ years in system/solution architecture, preferably in financial services, insurance, or fintech.
  • Expertise in cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Azure), microservices, API design, and security protocols (e.g., encryption, compliance with GDPR/HIPAA analogs).
  • Proven track record in leading architectural projects for annuity or similar products.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, enterprise methodology, and risk implications.
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration; certifications like AWS Solutions Architect or TOGAF preferred.
