Systems Administrator

**Hybrid working environment (onsite / remote) – Irving, TX

Currently seeking an experienced systems engineer with demonstrated technical competency to work closely within a small team to maintain, troubleshoot, design, and implement systems and services. The Systems Engineer is responsible for maintaining on-premises and cloud applications, systems, servers, storage, and network equipment. Applicants will be expected to plan, install, configure, and manage various aspects of IT infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, and effective delivery of services.

Systems Engineer Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor infrastructure, on-premises and cloud business systems, including configuration, testing, and maintenance
• Participate in the design, implementation, and configuration of information and business support systems
• Install and configure operating systems, software, and hardware components
• Proactively work to improve reliability, stability, and security of cloud and on-premise environments
• Implement and maintain strategies for backup, security, redundancy, and business contingencies
• Assist with the evaluation and management of vendor and outsourcing relationships
• Strong ability to manage projects from beginning to completion
• Create and update systems documentation

Required Skills:

• 5+ Years Experience - Microsoft Active Directory (DNS, Group Policy, DHCP, Administration, etc.)
• 5+ Years Experience - Microsoft Windows Server Administration
• Ability to use PowerShell, Command Line, and Batch Scripting
• Proficiency with Hypervisors / Virtualization: VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or others
• Proficiency with Enterprise Storage Systems (NAS/SAN)
• Experience with enterprise systems monitoring
• Provide emergency response by being on-call, monitoring and responding to situations that affect business operations when they occur, communicating with the IT team, and escalation as required.

Desired Skills:

• BS/MS degree preferred or applicable technical certifications
• Microsoft Cloud Services - Azure/Entra, Intune, Office, SharePoint, Teams, Security
• Microsoft SQL Server, Administration, Clustering, Replication
• Microsoft IIS
• Email communications (Exchange, DNS, SPF/DMARC, Security, Routing)
• Enterprise Networking (TCP/IP, OSI layers, VLANs, Routing/Switching, etc.)
