An electric transmission and generation utility is seeking a System Operator in Transmission Operations to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the transmission system.

Responsibilities:

• Directs and coordinates transmission system operations and the action of personnel during switching related activities
• Uses analysis tools to enhance real-time situational awareness of system conditions
• Prepares emergency line and substation outage requests
• Complies with all standards and procedures

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience
• Must obtain NERC System Operation Certification and PJM Transmission Certification within six months of start date
• Strong communication skills and experience with communication equipment and practices
• Focus and attention to detail as it relates to system operating conditions
• Ability to quickly problem solve abnormal operating conditions
