System Engineer - Level I

Duties

• Assist in management of firewall environments whether on-prem or cloud according to company standards (Check Point, Meraki, Cisco)
• Assist with management of tickets with technology support centers
• Fulfill firewall rule requests from IT and Business customers for new and existing connectivity
• Visit data centers/remote sites to perform installations or troubleshooting of firewall and peripheral equipment as necessary
• Assist in management of proxy clients and software via management Consoles

Experience and Skill Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Degree
• 2 or more years of Internet security, firewall or networking experience
• Run cables and rack equipment
• Able to interact with coworkers, customers, leadership, and vendors in a positive manner.
• Ability to travel to various company sites (limited travel required)
• Work 50% remote / 50% on site
• Must be able to lift at least fifty pounds
