System Director of PFS - CLOSED
A non-profit, multi-hosptial health system with approximately 1,500 beds and over 10,000 employees, has a terrific opportunity for a System Director of Patient Financial Services (due to a retirement). The organization has a centralized business office model and processes claims for all the hospitals, as well as hospice and home health. The director, reporting to the Vice President of Finance, oversees three managers, several supervisors and a total staff of 85.
The revenue cycle is high performing, with A/R days of 35. Epic is the EMR, with Experian as the claim scrubber and statement vendor. The PFS department has consistent collections at 100% of trailing 60 day net revenue.
The appropriate candidate will have a bachelor's degree with expertise in claim adjudication and overall revenue cycle integration with HIM, Patient Access and physician billing departments. Must be a strong communicator and project leader. Should be focused on metrics, investing in employee education and procedures, maximizing efficiencies and optimizing "first up" processes.
