System Director Surgical Services
Located on South East Florida’s Treasure Coast, with an average temperature of 78 degrees, constant sunshine, and miles of pristine beaches.
Our client health system is part of one of US News and World Reports top 10 health systems in the US and consistently ranks is the State of FL top 10 hospital.
They have engaged our firm to identify, attract and retain a top Surgical Services Nurse Leader for one of their most respected health systems, comprising of three hospitals and one ASC, with over 275 FTEs in the department.
Responsibilities include:
Directs the organization, coordination and administration of patient care. Serves as resource to nurse managers, clinical specialists, educators and staff regarding nursing practice. Oversees daily operations in conjunction with nurse managers. Ensures that nursing and clinical practice are in accordance with the philosophy, standards and goals.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with direction, coordination and management of all nursing areas.
- Provides supervision and acts as a resource to nurse managers, educators, clinical specialists, and staff.
- Collaborates with leadership team regarding; budget review, personnel management, monitoring of productivity and staff development.
- Monitors adherence to system and Nursing Institute policies and procedures. Promotes ongoing professional development of staff at all levels.
Education:
- BSN with Master's degree required.
Certifications:
- Current state licensure as an Registered Nurse (RN).
Work Experience:
- Four years of recent clinical experience and at least one year of health care management experience required.
- Clinical experience in specialty area of position preferred.
