Job Description

The work will be conducted in the National Capital Region (NCR), primarily at 200 Portage, Gatineau, Quebec. Some resources will be based in other buildings listed below, and potentially other buildings not listed.

Task:

The Level 2 System Administrators will be required to perform, but not limited to the following tasks:

  1. Application Support-(including MS365 (Teams, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Sharepoint))
  2. Workstation Support (laptop/desktop, docking stations, monitors, etc.)
  3. Network Printer Support
  4. Peripheral Support (including standalone printers, label makers, etc)
  5. Network Connectivity Support
  6. Telephony Support (both desk side telephones and Smartphones (IOS, Android))
  7. IM/IT Advice and Guidance
  8. Office Moves (IT Aspects)
  9. Performing initial analysis and triage of incidents, requests and problems using IT Service Management Software (BMC Remedy)
  10. Actioning/Updating/Tracking/Completing client ITSM Service Requests
  11. Incident Escalation
  12. Email Support
  13. VCNet Support (Video Conferencing)
  14. Remote Access Support (VPN, Citrix issues, etc.)
  15. Special events (temporary office setup)
  16. Cyclical replacements and disposal
  17. Laptop Loan
  18. Polycom conference set loans
  19. Support for teleworks
    1. Within Canada
    2. Outside Canada
  20. Laptop Rebuilds
  21. Password support for various IT systems

Mandatory:

M1

The Contractor must demonstrate using detailed project descriptions that the proposed resources, has at least five (5) years experience, within the last ten (10) years, as a I.9 System Administrator – Level 2 in accordance with the TBIPS supply arrangement.: Task–Based Informatics Professional Service: Requirements for services - TBIPS - Centralized Professional Services ePortal - Professional Services

M2

The Contractor must demonstrate that the proposed resources have a minimum of five (5) years of experience, within the last ten (10) years, assisting clients with MS365. This must include, at a minimum, Outlook, Word, Excel.

M3

The Contractor must demonstrate that the proposed resources have a minimum of five (5) years of experience, within the last ten (10) years, using remote administration and support tools, (example: taking control of the client’s desktop using Microsoft’s Remote Assistance, to assist clients with incidents and problems).

M4

The Contractor must demonstrate that the proposed resources have a minimum of three (3) years of experience, within the last six (6) years, assisting clients with Microsoft Teams, including chat and video

M5

The Contractor must demonstrate that the proposed resources have a minimum of five (5) years of experience, within the last ten (10) years, working with an incident/problem management tracking software (example: BMC Remedy Action Request System).

M6

The Contractor must demonstrate that the proposed resources have a minimum of five (5) years of experience, within the last ten (10) years, installing, upgrading and troubleshooting computer hardware (example: desktops, laptops, printers, etc.) in a large Microsoft Windows network environment, minimum of 2000 clients.

M7

The Contractor must demonstrate that the proposed resources have a minimum of five (5) years of experience, within the last ten (10) years, helping clients to resolve issues with Smartphones and Tablets’ (example: Blackberry, Android, Apple) configuration and troubleshooting.

M8

The Contractor must demonstrate that the proposed resources has experience coaching and advising clients in the use of video conferencing software and setup, including Microsoft Teams.

M9

The Contractor must demonstrate that the proposed resources has a minimum of three (3) years of experience, within the last seven (7) years supporting a Government of Canada Classified network, certified at a Secret Level or above. (Experience in supporting networks certified for processing Protected A or B Level data will not be accepted.)
