Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for a full-time permanent Sweeper / Laundry Handler at our manufacturing hub in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This position will be full time, permanent and unionized. Shift work may be required.

The Sweeper / Laundry Handler’s duties will include sweeping and cleaning an assigned area of the plant or office. The successful applicant will have knowledge of cleaning compounds and the ability to use power equipment such as scrubbers and polishers as required. The Sweeper/Laundry Handler will also be responsible for ensuring proper documentation and handling of laundry out of and into the plant.

Position Requirements

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
• Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work within specified safety requirements (e.g. PPE).
• Knowledge of and experience using cleaning chemicals and agents.
• Shift work may be required.
