RESPONSIBILITIES
Supply Planning
- Align plant operational capacities with corporate planning systems. Evaluate available capacities and constraints in equipment, labor and materials, both long-term and short-term, suggest revisions and implement the final plan.
- Manage the flow and streamline the processes involved in producing a product to maximize inventory efficiencies and meet customer expectations.
- Represent Planning as part of the Plant Leadership team encourage cooperation and exchange information between Corporate Master Planning and the plant team.
- Maintain and review the production plan to adjust for forecast changes and unexpected sales.
- Responsible for determining and implementing formulation production plans.
- Develops contingency plans to issues and coordinates with functional areas to resolve plant planning or scheduling conflicts and capacity constraints.
- Responsible for plant planning department budget numbers.
- Consult and communicate with Procurement and determine what raw materials are needed for the plant and request from Procurement.
- Manage Finished Goods inventory levels between manufacturing locations within established control limits to support demand.
- Monitor WIP levels and adjust production plans as necessary.
- Monitor components to assure availability when needed to maintain continuous workflow to production lines while maintaining proper inventory levels.
- Determine materials requirements needed to meet production schedules, inventory levels and shipment demands to achieve on-time production and inventory management requirements.
- Control the flow of product to the packaging room – to ensure no obsolescence/expiry.
- Manage finished goods inventory at outside storage locations.
- Monitor, daily, the inventory and codes of all products in the cooler to ensure proper rotation and traceability of all items.
- Manage day to day activities of production scheduler to implement and maintain performance metrics.
- Lead and manage goal setting, developing, training, succession planning and mentoring for production scheduler.
- Technical resource for Allergen program.
- Plan, direct and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the shipping department
- Manage shipment status to meet on-time and accurate delivery requirements.
- Proactively evaluate process flow, making changes to improve time-to-fill.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain / Supply Planning processes (e.g., scheduling, logistics, inventory planning and/or warehouse management).
- Proven experience with ERP system, preferably IFS.
- Microsoft Suite proficient.
