Supply Chain Manager

PURPOSE: The Supply Chain Manager analyzes costs, negotiates contract details, and offers strategies and solutions to help this privately-owned consumer product Company better manage costs on supplies and vendor services within a multi-location manufacturing operation. This position is a Corporate role based at the Corporate Office in the Southeast US.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage raw materials inventory and establish controls to ensure the Company is operating at the highest level of performance based on key performance metrics and minimize supply chain
  • Identify system tools needed to implement planning and forecasting systems.
  • Create item specific forecasts over a rolling time period to be used for ordering and inventory management
  • Develop and manage the materials planning function.
  • Research, evaluate, and compare products and services to determine which best meet the organization’s needs.
  • Develop and present cost analysis for outsourced finished goods and raw materials
  • Participate in the development and execution of effective inventory-control planning to support the corporate service level
  • Negotiate and execute contracts to support all segments of the business
  • Keeps informed and analyzes vendors and purchasing
  • Project future needs by strategizing with various departments and suppliers to ensure the organization’s future needs will be seamlessly met.
  • Participate and contribute to the supply chain strategy improvement

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, business analytics, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of previous experience in production scheduling process, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement theory and practice
  • Familiarity with the tissue, consumer product, paper, packaging, or related industries highly preferred
  • Proficient analytical skills for product demand forecasts and financial
  • Proficient computer skills, including Excel, Access, MS Office Suite
  • Certification as a CPP or CSCP a plus
  • Strong business partnering skills; proven ability to build and manage successful
  • Proven ability to combine expertise in material flow management with outstanding knowledge of information and financial aspects of the business; knowledge of supply chains link value
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in all formats and at all
  • Detail-oriented team player, possessing negotiation skills and the ability to work independently as
  • Organized, flexible, and easily adaptable to changing conditions; ability to work will in high-pressure situations to meet
