Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join their team in Waltham, MA. This role will be responsible for planning and executing global third-party manufacturing, procurement, and inventory control to help the company achieve its sales and financial objectives. The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure production and inventory plans are met, effectively resolving any issues. The Manager will also be responsible for executing supply chain-related ERP activities.

What You Will Do:

  1. Manage and Execute Plan to Manufacture (PTM) Processes

    • Plan and implement all aspects of supply, translating sales forecasts into an inventory strategy to meet sales and stock level objectives.
    • Execute all supply chain-related ERP master data maintenance and transactions (item masters, BOM, routers, receipts, backflushing, etc.).
    • Develop and execute a Materials Requirement Plan (MRP).
    • Manage safety stock programs (instrument spares, accessories, etc.).
    • Maintain high inventory accuracy (serial number and lot control, usage, scrap, cycle counting, reconciliation, etc.), including supplier consigned inventory and capital assets.
    • Effectively collaborate with third-party global manufacturing partners to ensure supply plans are met.
  2. Manage and Execute Procure to Pay (PTP) Processes

    • Place purchase orders, follow up on expedites, payment, and returned goods.
    • Manage vendor and item master data (contacts, pricing, terms, lead time, etc.).
    • Ensure contract compliance.
    • Identify and realize cost and lead time reduction opportunities.
  3. Support Record to Report (RTP) Processes

    • Monitor and report on material usage variances and scrap expenses.
    • Perform financial reconciliations of purchase order variances and inventory balances.
    • Assist in standard cost variance analysis and support financial audits.
  4. Provide Backup Capacity for Shipping and Receiving Related Order to Cash (OTC) Processes

    • Pick, pack, and ship orders.
    • Process dock receipts.
  5. Other Projects as Assigned

What You Will Bring:

  • Business BS or equivalent with 5+ years of related experience in supply chain management using ERP systems. Supply Chain certifications are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with business operations systems, including ERP systems (e.g., Netsuite) and accounting software.
  • Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office.
  • Proven analytical and decision-making skills to support effective buying decisions, problem resolution, inventory control process improvements, and cost reductions.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and organize daily activities.
  • Process and data-driven with a solutions and action-oriented mindset.
