Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Analytics for a nationally recognized specialty retailer. The Supply Chain Data and Analytics Engineer will understand the business requirements and translate these into functional IT solutions and applications to support the Supply Chain Analytics Team. Developing and administering internal data infrastructure based on the Hadoop Data Lake and relating to Supply Chain Control Tower product development and enablement of self-service analytics. Working cross functionally will be a must to foster relationships and be a trusted advisor to internal partners within logistics, information technology, finance, and production to advise on data and application capabilities to drive improved alignment between demand, supply, and operations.

Background Required:
  • Database design and administration (SQL Server or equivalent)
  • Fluent in coding languages and their practical applications in process automation and data manipulation
  • Ability to architect complicated and large-scale data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
  • Advanced Excel Experience (programing queries, VLOOKUP, Macros, Pivot Table)
  • Develop and maintain data-infrastructure of internal, external, and transformed data
  • Communicate and create buy-in with internal and global colleagues
  • Agile and waterfall project methodologies (scrum, sprint planning, retrospective)
  • Identify and implement process efficiencies and appropriate technology solutions
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Location: Hybrid – Columbus, OH
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Formal education in Computer Science (CS) or Management Information Systems (MIS)
  • Functional Supply Chain experience
  • Supply Chain applications (ERP, WMS, TMS, YMS)
  • Knowledge of distribute file systems (Map R/Hadoop)
