Our client in the Oil and Gas sector is seeking to onboard a Supply Chain Assistant for their Couva location.

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Assistant to support the Purchasing and Contracts functions within the Supply Chain Department. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates seeking to build practical experience in procurement, purchasing, tender administration, and supply chain operations within a dynamic corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer Service RFQs through the eboxTENDERS platform.
  • Support purchasing activities for direct goods and services.
  • Assist with supplier prequalification processes.
  • Coordinate vendor documentation and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain procurement records and purchasing documentation.
  • Support contract administration activities.
  • Generate reports and track procurement activities.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and policies.
  • Provide administrative support to the Supply Chain team as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

Academic Requirements

Five (5) CSEC/CXC/GCE O'Level subjects including:

  • English A
  • Mathematics

Candidates must clearly state subjects and grades obtained on their resume.

Preference will be given to candidates with Grades 1 or 2.

Professional Qualification

Either:

  • CIPS Level 4 Qualification OR
  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management

AND graduated after 31 December 2022

OR

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related discipline
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Graduated after 31 December 2022

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, or Maximo.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Knowledge of procurement and purchasing processes.
  • Tender administration experience would be an asset.
