Job Description

Job Title: Supply Chain Analyst

PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION:
The Supply Chain Analyst reports directly to the Logistics Manager and is expected to help the company
in enhancing the Logistics group. He or she will support the company’s inventory and supply chain needs
with data analytics and purchasing responsibilities. The analyst will play a role in identifying bad
inventory and helping the company deploy a strategy to relieve the inventory; through disposal,
discounted sales, or returning products to vendors. The Analyst will work across the organization and
have direct interaction with key vendors and daily interaction with Inventory Control Team and Technical
Specialist. In addition, the analyst will work on a variety of other strategic inventory and supply chain
improvement initiatives. He or she will have the opportunity to contribute to the company’s broad supply
chain strategy and detailed inventory management best practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Create supply chain management strategies that increase efficiency and speed
• Provide operational support and guidance to ensure maximum productivity
• Train and mentor Ops employees
• Collaborate with other departments to identify vulnerabilities and close operational gaps
• Focus on safety, cost management and business growth in all interactions and directives
• Prepare and submit weekly reports
• Optimize warehouse functions
• Handle communications and negotiations with external suppliers
• Develop, teach and reinforce safety guidelines and protocols
• Follow up after accidents and injuries on the floor

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated
• Good PC skills excel, word, and access preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Providing departments specs to Purchasing
• Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
• Strong understanding of Logistics processes and needs
• Proven experience as a Supply Chain Analyst, Logistics Coordinator or similar role
• Experience in data mining, analysis and reporting
• Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g. Inventory planning, warehouse management)
• Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases and ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
• Analytical mind with business acumen
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Attention to detail
• Outstanding organizational ability
2. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
• BSc/BA in Logistics, Business Analytics, Mathematics or a related field experience
• Minimum four years Warehouse Operations
