Summary
The Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator is a key member of Guyana Team. Duties of this role are to work With Country Manager, Operations Coordinator, Accountant & QHSE Coordinator daily, the Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator will also contribute to process improvements within the area as well as any QHSE initiatives.
This position will serve to undertake an execute the effective functioning of supply chain & logistics processes including sourcing, ordering, receiving, liaising with suppliers, contract monitoring, reporting on and ensuring compliance with supply chain policies and regulations, including co-ordinating the procurement of day-to-day goods and services for the company

Responsibilities
- Manage inventories of all supplies/consumables/raw materials and perform stock checks on a regular basis as required by QMS
- Ensure that inventory information is kept current, accurate, secure and only authorized personnel have access
- Ensuring minimum stock levels are maintained by maintaining an accurate Running Inventory file.
- Ensure good communication between shop consumable/supplies/raw material inventories.
- Complete Incoming Goods Inspection checklists and allocate correct location for inventory item to ensure orders are properly booked, tracked, and received.
- Ordering of shop consumables/supplies and office supplies.
- Work with Quality team to ensure material certs are received, saved, and filed, ensuring traceability is maintained on raw materials.
- Support our continual improvement programs and recommend/introduce process improvements & cost savings.
- Establish, implement, and manage the storage & issue/return of all gauges, tools and other applicable items.
- Onboarding suppliers in coordination with Quality Assurance Team, confirming only approved Suppliers are used and AVL is kept up to date
- Soliciting Supplier Evaluations and providing annual feedback linked to AVL and supplier performance
- Request Supplier Quotes and visits.
- Keep running list of open PO's/lines received and register of completed/closed PO's.
- Fully embrace the Quality & HSE management systems.
- Ensure import/export docs are received from and/or provided to suppliers, freight forwarders and brokers
- Participate in all HSE programs, in particular; STOP Intervention, HSE Observations, Accident/Incident Reporting, HSE Auditing & good housekeeping practices
- Ensure good communication between shop floor and office on any issues that would impact the efficiency/quality of the job.
- Monitor own work to ensure quality is to required standard and perform tasks with honesty, integrity and Customer Focus.
- Fully co-operate with other departments to ensure workflow is maintained as and when required.
- Establish & maintain schedules for ordering efficiency.
- Ensure only working with Controlled Copy documents and ensure obsolete revisions are handed back to Quality Manager for disposal.
- Ensuring the correct tool is used for the job in hand and that pre-checks are completed each time for damage/calibration etc.
- Support our continual improvement programmes, recommend and introduce process improvements & cost savings and have technical input to perform job with optimal results.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and hazards are minimised at all times.
- Attend and participate in all training provided by Company and to commit to all Management System changes approved by Management Team.
- Immediately stop the job, where any defect/process failure/machine malfunction etc. is seen and report to Line Supervisor.
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain or Logistics
- Understanding and knowledge of the Supply Chain Management cycle which includes demand, acquisition, logistics, disposal, and supplier relationship management.
- 1-2 Years experience &/or qualification
- Sound problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills including active listening, teamwork skills.
- Competent computer skills
- Team oriented
- Knowledge of import/export procedures desirable
- Product technical knowledge to support quality planning and inspection.
- Able to adapt to changing demands / deadlines.
