Supervisor of MRI Technologies

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Supervisor of MRI Technologies to join our leading healthcare facility. In this pivotal role, you will manage and oversee the operations of the MRI department, ensuring that patient care is both safe and effective while complying with regulatory standards. This position is ideal for a professional who excels in a dynamic environment, possesses advanced knowledge of MRI techniques, and demonstrates leadership capabilities in managing a team. You will also directly participate in patient care as an MRI Technologist, thereby keeping your clinical skills sharp while leading from the front.

Salary: $85,675.00 - $128,502.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the technical operations and regulatory compliance of the MRI department.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of staff to align with changing patient volume needs.
  • Lead the hiring process for new staff members and develop orientation and training programs.
  • Ensure all technical procedures are performed correctly and patient care protocols are adhered to.
  • Perform regular duties of a MRI Technologist, maintaining proficiency in clinical skills.
  • Provide coaching and guidance for team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Manage rotating weekend on-call shifts to ensure coverage and departmental responsiveness.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from an accredited Medical Radiographic Program.
  • Advanced certification in MRI technology.
  • A minimum of three years of experience working directly with MRI technologies.
  • At least two years in a leadership role, preferably as a lead technician or supervisor in a medical imaging setting.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively in a high-stress healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Additional certifications or specializations in medical imaging fields.
  • Prior experience in a large hospital setting with complex case loads.
  • Experience with the latest MRI technology and software advancements.
  • Proven track record of improving patient care through technological or procedural enhancements.
