Responsibilities

The Unit supervisor: Provides leadership as part of unit management team. Coordinates unit management activities in conjunction with manager/director. Facilitates unit staff development in collaboration with manager/director. Carries out the day-to-day operation plan of the unit under the direction of the manager/director. Serves as a resource to other health team members on the assigned unit. Works collaboratively with other departments to facilitate cost effective health care. The patients to be served may include: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Assumes patient care assignment based on unit needs.


Qualifications

Completion of accredited nursing program. Baccalaureate degree preferred. Possess a current Iowa RN license. Prefer a minimum of three years experience in a clinical setting with recognized knowledge and expertise in caring for specific population.
