Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise technical and or non-technical laboratory personnel and assign areas/shifts.
• Develop, Implements and monitor new policies and processes.
• Develop monitoring systems for the collection, documentation and reporting of quality assessment and improvement data.
• Concurrently monitor resource utilization, including payroll, supplies and expenses, client volume and revenue variation reports.
• Complete and conduct performance evaluations for all staff under direct supervision after three months of employment and annually.

Qualifications:

Education Required AND/OR Preferred:

• An Associates Degree in Science or Medical Technology is required.
• A Bachelor Degree is preferred.

Experience Required OR Preferred:

• 5 years experience as a Medical Technologist.
• Prior Supervisory experience preferred.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Demonstrated success and abilities in leadership, achieving results, communications, customer service and health care management.

Licensure/Certification:

• FL Supervisor's license.
• Licensure is 3 technical specialties preferred.
• Blood Bank/Immunohematology.
• Chemistry.
• Hematology.
• Histology.
• Microbiology.
• Serology/Immunology.
