We are seeking a Supervising Electrical Engineer I to join our clients Los Angeles team and take a leading role in driving technical excellence, mentoring staff, and delivering complex electrical engineering projects. You will be the face of the firm to clients, contractors, architects, and project teams, while guiding and supervising engineers on multiple projects. Your expertise will be critical in setting design standards, managing project execution, and ensuring high-quality results.

What You’ll Do

As a Supervising Electrical Engineer, you will act as Engineer of Record and lead coordination meetings, supervising staff while driving the successful execution of projects. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing objective and comprehensive employee evaluations

  • Acting as Engineer of Record on assigned projects

  • Assisting Technical Manager and Chief Engineer in technical training and mentoring

  • Coordinating and assigning projects for the engineering team (system design and project engineering)

  • Establishing design standards, specifications, and project criteria

  • Leading and supervising staff as they perform their work

  • Managing construction administration tasks, including field reports, RFIs, bulletins, and addenda

  • Coordinating with accounting on project invoices and monitoring accounts receivable

  • Overseeing correspondence between staff, clients, contractors, and owners

  • Participating in firmwide Expert Teams committees

  • Contributing to budgeting, scheduling, and staff management

  • Preparing proposals and administering project contracts, including additional service agreements

  • Supervising preparation of system analyses and reports on building conditions and options

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a senior-level electrical engineer who brings technical expertise, leadership skills, and hands-on experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license

  • 12+ years of experience in an MEP consulting engineering environment

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience

  • Hands-on design experience with CAD and Revit

  • Healthcare project experience required; experience in Critical Facilities, Commercial, or Aviation projects preferred

  • Ability to lead technically while staying actively engaged in design and problem-solving
